TAL Scholar Application (2023/2024)

Introduction

TAL Scholar is excited to be offering its 2023/2024 set of university scholarships to students across Nigeria. To apply for a scholarship, you must complete this online application. There is no alternative method of applying. Please read these instructions carefully and in their entirety.

The application consists of six mandatory sections:


  • Basic Information
  • Achieved Grades
  • Extracurriculars and Work Experience
  • Applicant’s Details
  • Parents/Guardian Details
  • Family circumstances
  • Principal Recommendation
  • Teacher Recommendation
  • And two optional sections:

In order to be eligible for a TAL scholarship, you must meet each of the following criteria:

  • Attending or attended a state government school
  • Be from a disadvantaged background and genuinely in need
  • A Nigerian resident
  • Between 16 - 19 years old (at some point in 2023)
  • Planning on starting university in the 2023-24 academic year

TAL Scholarship is a competitive scheme. Applicants who closely meet or exceed our criteria will progress to the next round (a half hour video interview). Should you be selected for an interview, you will be required to prove that you meet the eligibility requirements listed above.

  • All our Scholars attend State funded Secondary school.
  • All our Scholars are in genuine financial need.
  • All our Scholars were selected after an intensive application process.

Please note that your application will not save. We recommend writing your personal family circumstances and short answer question response in a word format before completing and submitting your application.

Through their support, TAL sponsors transform the lives of our scholars while inspiring hope of a better future, in many others in similar circumstances to those our scholars emerged from, across Nigeria.
All the funds paid by TAL sponsors go directly and in-full towards our scholarships. Each scholar receives N200,000 to N600,000, depending on the course and spread across the years of study at university. To Sponsor a scholar, please complete the form below and we will contact you.
